On Valentine's Day 1979, Marilyn opened the doors to her very own office and she could not have chosen a better day for a career she loves so much. Though the small firm consisted only of Marilyn and a part-time secretary, the size of the operation was never an issue—quality is always preferred to quantity, Marilyn believes. From early education through parochial schools through graduating Lancaster Catholic High School and attending Franklin and Marshall College, she is Lancastrian through and through. She is also a graduate of the Real Estate Institute and has actively sold commercial, residential and investment properties for over 50 years. I have loved living and working in Lancaster County since moving here as a young married, soon to be mother in 1976. Over the years, I've had a chance to see all the changes and growth the county. Our first house was in a lovely neighborhood in East Petersburg with sidewalks and caring neighbors. As our family's needs grew, we built a larger home on Country Club Drive in Manheim Township, and finally downsized into our retirement home in the Villas at Bent Creek.
Living, working and volunteering in Lancaster, I've personally seen the growing diversity and the caring within our community has only deepened my love for all that Lancaster County has to offer. Part of our caring community in Lancaster are the many volunteer opportunities available. I actively volunteer for Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center, ushering at the Fulton Theater, delivering Meal on Wheels, and volunteer activities through my synagogue. Giving back and working for the betterment of the community I live in is important to me. I love showing and sharing with my clients the Lancaster that I know and love.
After working as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in a hospital setting for over 25 years, then transitioning to a career in Real Estate was going from one caring and helping profession to another. I believe Real Estate is all about caring, listening, and putting your client's needs first.

Ryan Berger-Shank represents the 3rd generation of Realtors of the Berger Team. A Lancaster native, Ryan is a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High and Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. With over nine years of experience in both sales and marketing Ryan has produced video content all over the country which included work for Ford, Reebok, AT&T, and American Express. Most recently, prior to joining the team Ryan was the Director of Corporate Partnerships with the 2016 US Women's Open in San Martin, CA and now returns to his roots in Lancaster. Abby was born and raised in Lancaster, attended Manheim Township and then the University of Delaware, graduating with degrees in International Business, Marketing, Spanish and Chinese. After graduation, she moved to Philadelphia to work in forensic investigations where she focused on the language side of anti-money laundering, bribery, and other fraud investigations. She renovated her home in Manayunk and decided to put her accounting and finance experience to work managing several local family businesses.
Abby loves seeing properties turn into stylish and wonderful homes. Her family has always had great interest in renovations and buying and selling businesses, so working in real estate is a natural fit for Abby. Most recently, she purchased a home in Bloomingdale, the neighborhood where she grew up. Abby finally has her ultimate renovation project! She is thrilled to be part of the Marilyn Berger Team to facilitate great relationships with the community and help each person find the home that works best.
